Neville from the Finley and District Model Railroaders is bringing a new venture to Tocumwal.

Thanks to the generosity of the Tocumwal Lions Club, a space has been obtained to set up as a clubroom to construct model railways and display them to the public within the Tocumwal Railway Heritage Museum.

Neville hopes to move in and have the new club up and running within the next fortnight, and have a layout operating within the next month.

He is encouraging participation from our local community who have interest in the world of model railroading.

Opening days will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

Anything outside these hours can be arranged by appointment.

For more information on coming aboard for this new venture, contact Neville Grigsby on 0407 981 737.

Please leave a message if Neville doesn’t answer.

The Tocumwal Rotary Op Shop is taking expressions of interest now from local community groups that might like to assist in the Op Shop for a few days in 2023.

For their help, the group will receive a share of the profits made while they are assisting.

The Tocumwal Rotary Op Shop is well known in the community both for the funds raised and distributed locally, and for the excellent job it does in providing so many low-cost household items for the local community.

Tocumwal Football Netball Club and Tocumwal Cricket Club are holding a joint fundraiser, selling 250 bales of oaten hay.

The bales are located in Tocumwal for pickup only, with all funds raised going directly to these community clubs.

Price for the bales is $70 each.

The price per bale is negotiable if you wish to place a bulk order.

Contact Malcolm Hart on 0447 951 956 for sales related enquires, or Daniel Bennett on 0417 331 781 for technical information.

Tocumwal Fire + Rescue Captain Ian Desailly would like to thank Anthony March from IGA for his generous donation of the Zooper Doopers and chips for the children of Tocumwal.

Anthony does this every year, which is much appreciated, as well as donating to many other organisations around the town.

Ian implores our community to please support Anthony and his friendly staff at IGA as they continue to support us and wishes everyone a safe and happy New Year.

I would like to extend our community’s thanks to Ian and his team at Tocumwal Fire + Rescue for bringing Christmas joy to Tocumwal again with their carriage of Santa around town, handing out treats to the children.

Their time is completely voluntary and much appreciated.
